First plenary meeting of the Electronics and Telecommunications Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the term of office 2024-2027

At the invitation of Professor Tomasz Kapitaniak - Dean of Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the first plenary meeting of the Committee on Electronics and Telecommunications for the term 2024-2027 was held on 15 March 2024 in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.
As a result of the elections held, the Committee Board elected Professor Józef Modelski as the Chairman of the Committee for the term 2024 - 2027.
Professor Józef Modelski proposed the appointment of:
As Vice-Chairpersons of the Committee: Professor Hanna Bogucka from Poznan University of Technology and Professor Maciej Ogorzalek from Jagiellonian University.
As Committee Board Members: Professor Andrzej Jajszczyk of the Stanisław Staszic University of Science and Technology in Kraków and Professor Bogusław Smólski of the Jarosław Dąbrowski Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
Dr Krzysztof Perlicki of the Warsaw University of Technology was elected as Secretary of the Committee.
As a result of the votes taken, the Committee assigned the proposed functions to the above-mentioned persons.
As a by-election, the Committee decided to include Dr Andrzej Dulka (Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications) and Dr Janusz Dudczyk (WB Electronics S.A./Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna im. Jarosław Dąbrowskiego in Warsaw) as members of the Committee.
 
During the meeting, the election of the Committee Section Chairs was conducted. For the 2024-2027 term, the Section Chairmen were:
Electromagnetic Safety Section - Professor Tadeusz Więckowski of the Wrocław University of Technology.
Photonics Section - Professor Leszek Jaroszewicz from the Jarosław Dąbrowski Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
Section of Microelectronics and Electron Technology - Professor Janusz Zarębski of the Maritime University of Gdynia.
Section of Microwaves and Radioactivity - Professor Krzysztof Kulpa of the Warsaw University of Technology.
Telecommunications Section - Professor Jacek Stefański of the Gdańsk University of Technology.
Section on Signals, Circuits and Electronic Systems - Professor Maciej Ogorzałek of the Jagiellonian University.
